With a Cell Phone, You're a Journalist
Posted by Juan Carlos Camus 11:59 AM

Pablo Altclas is searching for Argentinean volunteers to join his effort to build a new medium: Crónicas Móviles. The idea is to set up a site where volunteers can post their cell phone photos about everything important to them.

According to Pagina 12, in Argentina there are 22 million cell phones, 1.5 million of which have cameras.

About this project, Clarín and Pagina 12 reported than more than 100 people have joined so far. The site is expected to launch shortly.

Meanwhile, Altclas is discussing this project in his own weblog. In past interviews, Altclas told Clarín that "in the future everybody will be a journalist."
