What's Happening with Fidel?

Castro
BBC News
The Web is abuzz with speculation about Fidel Casto stepping down.
For the first time since 1959, Fidel Castro, the fierce ruler of Cuba, has stepped down for a while after a surgery to halt internal bleeding. The official note about this situation (with his signature included) was published in Granma International.

News sites -- especially bloggers -- have been busy trying to figure out what has happened to the 80-year-old leader, and considering transition after Fidel's time.

The first reactions went from euphoria in Miami (El Nuevo Herald) to surprise in other countries such as Argentina where the Cuban leader made his last trip (Clarin.com).

Weblogs portray reactions from many sides. You can visit a wide sample, including (in English) Kill Castro, Miami Cuban Connection and Metroblogging Miami. Also in Spanish you can check BBC, Acertijo Cretino, La Salud en Cuba and Mi isla al mediodía.
