Leadership at the Movies
I'm pretty well behaved at the movies. I don't chat on my cell phone. I share the popcorn. But I have one annoying habit. I'm constantly on the alert for clips. I watch every movie -- in theaters and on TV -- scouting for leadership lessons or management moments. From time to time, if they are a perfect fit for a topic I'm teaching, I'll turn them into a class exercise.

What movies do I like? It seems only fitting to share my answer on video:

If you're receiving this via e-mail newsletter and have trouble viewing the video, please use the video player on the SuperVision page.

I'm still trying to find an excuse to use one of my all-time favorite movies in a leadership seminar, but can't quite find the right fit. Let's see. One might argue that Joe Pesci demonstrates authenticity and creativity in "My Cousin Vinnie,"  but I think I'm overreaching.

For suggestions that are more helpful, try Inc. magazine's "Everything I Know about Leadership I Learned at the Movies." And if you have a favorite leadership-at-the-movies example, please share it in our feedback section.
