Matt Golas, who has run the Times Leader newsroom for the last 16 months, loses his job as
Rich Connor takes over. "Things were just starting to gel,"
says Golas. "I don’t think I was finished doing what I was trying to do." Connor, who became publisher of the former Knight Ridder paper last week, says: "I think Matt realized when we talked that he's not the kind of editor who's going to want a publisher telling him what to do, and I would be doing that."
