Boston Globe journalist Walter V. Robinson, who has been with the paper for 34 years, will join the Northeastern University faculty in January 2007 as Distinguished Professor of Journalism. "Robinson is perhaps best known for directing The Boston Globe's Spotlight Team investigation of the clergy sexual abuse scandal in the Catholic Church, for which the newspaper received the Pulitzer Prize for Public Service in 2003," notes a Northeastern release.
> Globe editor Marty Baron: "Here’s the good news: Robby is going to keep close ties with the Globe. When he departs this fall, he’ll be retained by me as a consultant to spread his investigative expertise among the staff and periodically write stories of his own."
