Armando Acuna says you can hear the urgency in senior editors' voices and see it on the Bee's redesigned Page One. "Stories that in the past rarely had a chance of landing on Page A1 because they strayed from the paper's standard but often boring menu of government process and political fare are now part of mix, and judged on the basis of whether they are interesting to read," writes the ombud.
