Tim Griggs admits his NYT Co.-owned paper "dropped the ball" when it failed to publish a story last Wednesday about
John Kerry's controversial comments. Some readers theorized that leaving the story out "was the result of a wide-reaching left-wing conspiracy conducted by the New York Times," writes Griggs. Not true, he says. "In my seven-plus years with this company, I've not heard of a single incident of someone in New York making a news decision, a suggestion for how to play a story, or a recommendation for an 'editorial slant' to take." ||
