Ombud Ted Diadiun liked reporter John Campanelli's description of his Ohio-to-Arizona road trip with three student football fans. "It was, I thought, an engaging tale of college-age irresponsibility, minor-league debauchery, immature hilarity and a few flirts with authority." But, of course, some party-poopers had a problem with Campanelli's series. "What a disgusting message this presents to our nation's youth," said one. More editor/ombud columns:
