Paul Vancil remembers
Kurt Eichenwald "for a decent act which he performed on this site two years ago" when he defended young journalist
Krystal Grow, who was attacked by some Romenesko readers for crying over a lost internship. Eichenwald wrote in April 2005: "What a cruel bunch of cynical know-it-alls this profession creates." Vancil notes: "That observation might now apply in his own case. ...I choose to believe that the man who wrote that letter two years ago had similar good intentions about Justin Berry -- and that he, like the young writer he and others defended, made at worst a minor mistake, about which too many hands are now being uselessly wrung." || Related
