Louisville Courier-Journal
The head of the Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press says it's "appalling" that Courier-Journal reporter
Brian Bennett was
ejected [his account] from a college baseball game for live blogging, "but in no way am I surprised."
Lucy Dalglish adds: "The television networks pay a lot of money for the rights to live reporting, and the NCAA makes a whale of a lot of money. This is all about money and not about the First Amendment."
>
Peter Schmuck: "Ejecting newspaper reporters from college baseball press boxes seems pretty extreme, especially when you consider that about 95 percent of college baseball programs are begging for any type of media coverage."
