Chicago Tribune
The Tribune
reported Monday that Mayor
Richard Daley's "environmentally friendly speeches [have] failed to translate into aggressive action at City Hall." The mayor fired back: "Well, they're cutting all the trees down. Go talk to the Tribune. Chop another tree down. Great. ...We should never have built the Tribune building because it was a high-rise when it was built on Michigan Avenue. They should have never [built] your printing plant in Chicago for all your trucks in Chicago. Why are you doing that?"
