Richard Ramirez was found Wednesday in his back yard with a knife wound in his midsection. Brandon Bailey reports Ramirez had been worried about the paper's plans to eliminate about 40 newsroom jobs, but had been told it was unlikely he'd be laid off. Also, the veteran Merc newsman was upset about something that happened at the recent National Association of Hispanic Journalists convention that he helped to organize.
