Ivor Tossell complains that it's the irritating parts of the blogosphere that insist on being the standard-bearers for the movement -- people who insist that blogs are destined to replace old media as simply as diesel engines replaced stream trains. "Anyone who thinks that blogs merely enhance and complement the media world, apparently, just doesn't get it," he writes. "As a rule of thumb, the more disgruntled a blog is, the more vehemently it proclaims its status as the media of the future."
