The Dow Jones-Murdoch saga appears to be nearly over, but Paul Steiger's job of directing the Wall Street Journal's coverage is still being debated. One WSJ staffer tells Michael Calderone that the retired managing editor has "got to recuse himself. There are 15 other people who could do the job." A DJ spokesperson says that "senior editors of the Journal have full confidence in Mr. Steiger's ability to supervise full and fair coverage" of the story.
