Dave Kansas says he moved from the Wall Street Journal to TheStreet.com in 1996 so he could make enough money to meet his goal of becoming debt-free by his 30th birthday. "By Christmas of 1996 (three months ahead of schedule) I had paid everything off," he writes. In 2001 he left TheStreet.com and rejoined the Journal. (He now runs a new Dow Jones/IAC personal finance website. || Earlier: Kansas will be forever be known as the $9 Million Man even if TheStreet.com's stock never comes back.
