Charles C. Cochrane told his employees after Crosscut Seattle
reported that the Maine newspapers might be shut down. He writes: "My declaration [in a court filing] does say, 'without a sale, it is even possible that (the company) would be dismantled altogether, which would put all of (Blethen's) employees -- including the union's members -- out of work.' That statement is true, but it does not say that this outcome is either imminent or likely."
