What happened to "New on Poynter"?

Posted By Poynter Institute, Saturday, August 23, 2008

If you used to find content by using the "New on Poynter" column on the right side of the page, we have replaced that with a better way. Now every page automatically shows you what's new on the site. It's all listed on the top left area of each page: most recent articles, most e-mailed, recent comments, recent tags, recent searches and community activity.

If you want to read a particular column or blog, look in "Columns & Blogs" in the area below the main image.

Will we be able to create our own groups?

Posted By Poynter Institute, Saturday, August 23, 2008

Eventually we envision letting users create groups, and would love to hear your ideas for additional groups we could add. For now, you can join our existing journalism conversation groups, column groups and (if you've attended a Poynter Seminar) seminar group.

How do I join a group?

Posted By Poynter Institute, Friday, August 15, 2008
Updated: Friday, August 22, 2008

Go to the Groups home page and mouse over Journalism Conversations or Column Conversations in the green headers. Then select any group you'd like to join. These groups are public and, once you're registered and logged in, you can join them simply by clicking Join This Group near the top of each Group page. Seminar Groups are private and are limited to participants in the specific seminar.
